ARTISTS' RECEPTION OPENS PHOTO EXHIBITS BEFORE FESTIVAL
Orange City, IA --
The Arts are highly celebrated at Orange City's annual Tulip Festival, and
this year the festival kicks off with an opening of two featured photo
exhibits. The public is invited to an artists' reception on Wednesday, May
16, from 5:30 to 7:30pm in the Iowa State Bank basement, for the opening of
"Dutch Connections -- portraits and landscapes from Orange City" by New York
photojournalist Rene Clement, and "Sioux County Folk" -- a collection
of photos and story excerpts from the upcoming coffee table book by local
photographer Doug Burg and author Dr. James Calvin Schaap. The artists will
be on hand Wednesday evening, as well as from 11am-noon and 4-5pm daily
during the festival May 17-19, to discuss their projects. More information,
including a link to Clement's web site, can be found on the Tulip Festival
