Picture This: 2009 Orange City Tulip Festival Photo Contest

Orange City, IA – Northwest Iowa’s favorite springtime pageant of color, The Orange City Tulip Festival, comes alive May 14, 15 and 16th. We invite you to enjoy our cultural celebration and capture your favorite moments in the first-ever Tulip Festival Photo Contest.

“Picture This” offers tourists and residents the opportunity to submit their finest photos from the 2009 Tulip Festival. Five entry categories are available:

• Scenic Shots – Windmills, Carnival, Tulips, etc.
• Volksparade/Straatfest - Photos prior to and throughout the parade.
• Costumes – Capture the authenticity and beauty of Dutch costumes, wooden shoes, etc.
• Food - Dutch delicacies, Straatmarkt, etc.
• Children – A child or group of children enjoying the festival.

One photo will be selected for the Grand Prize: photo will be featured in the 2010 Tulip Festival Brochure and the winner will receive $50 in Orange City Chamber Dollars. In addition, the best photo from each category will receive $20 in Chamber Dollars and be displayed at the 2010 Tulip Festival.

The 2009 Orange City Tulip Festival, May 14, 15 and 16, features an entertaining celebration of the thriving community's rich Dutch heritage.
