2nd Annual Author's Corner Authors Announced
Regional authors will return to Orange City for the second annual Author’s
Corner, one of Tulip Festival’s newest attractions on May 13, 14 and 15th.
Twelve authors, all but one of who come from an hour’s drive or less, will
be at the Iowa State Bank ready to talk about and sign their books.
Four of these authors write for children, while the remaining eight
write for adults.
Orange City’s well-known Hadley Hoover will be at the event with her latest
novel, Fallow Fields, as well as
her previous books. Four of
Hoover’s books are set in a town called Dutchville, which is based on Orange
City. Growing up and now
residing in Orange City, Hoover was inspired by the unique aspects of the
town, and decided to bring the culture into her books.

Kramer’s book, Bayani’s Bridge, is based on a family living in the Philippines.
Addink’s Treasury of Gems
includes a collection of words to enlighten readers on various aspects of
life. Heie’s two books give
insight on how to have respectful conversations with those who having
opposing viewpoints.
Kaia Kloster and her illustrator Ruth Hanson will bring their books
Under Loving Wings and Rainy
Day Duck. The two books
share simple farm stories that tie biblical truths into modern-day
relevance.
