Hobbies & Interests I love spending time outdoors and look forward to Summers in Okoboji with family and friends! I grew up spending time at Royal Oaks where we had fun boating, tubing, and jet skiing. I have also recently enjoyed time at Cutty’s Resort, swimming, having fires, and mini golfing. Traveling is another interest of mine, I’m always excited to see new parts of the country! The last few years I’ve also taken up photography, and like to take pictures of my friends and family. 

School Activities Over the last four years at Unity, I have had the opportunity to be involved in volleyball, softball, and Symphonic Band. I also enjoy being a Living Group Leader and going to any sporting event I can to cheer on my friends and classmates. In addition, I am part of the UCHS Honor Roll.

Spare Time Activities My family and I are extremely close, and we always make time to see each other. I have five older siblings and many nieces and nephews that always make life exciting! Together my family loves to cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes. During the Summer months, I enjoy being a lifeguard at the Orange City Pool and going to RYS Convention with my church. Some other things I like to do in my spare time is spending time with friends, working at Prairie Winds Event Center, Pizza Ranch, and being a CNA at the Orange City Hospital. 

Education/Career Plans Next fall, I plan on attending Northwestern College with a major in either Nursing or Business Administration and Spanish. I’d also love to study abroad while in college! 

Past Tulip Festival Participation I have always enjoyed being part of Tulip Festival since I was a young girl. Some past activities include riding floats, street scrubbing, Dutch Games, and Dutch Dance. I also participated in the OCCS Tiger Marching Band, playing the flute and doing baton.
