Parents: Matt and Karen Van Schouwen

Hobbies/Interests: Some of my favorite hobbies and interests include running, golfing with family and friends, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with my awesome youth group at First CRC.

School activities: I participate in cross country, golf, and concert choir at Unity, and serve as a manager for the girls basketball team. I have also had the privilege of serving as a class officer and a living group leader. 

Spare time activities: In my free time, I work as a certified nurses assistant (CNA) at the Orange City Hospital and the Prairie Ridge Care Center. I also simply enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. 

Education/career plans: I plan to attend Dordt University, and have interests in business and theology.

Past Tulip Festival participation: The Tulip Festival is one of my favorite times of the year. I participated in the Orange City Christian School marching band during middle school, dutch dancing, and the annual 5k run. I am also looking forward to my fourth year coaching baton with the OCCS marching band, helping to lead in both the Orange City and Pella parades. My favorite part of Tulip Festival however, is the opportunity to see our community celebrate and serve together.
